JAMES NAMES 15 FOR ENGLAND’S IRISH TEST

england_basketball_logo_568England Senior Men’s coach Paul James has chosen a list of 15 players from whom he will select a team to compete against Ireland Select on 12 January at the NIA, Birmingham.

A game that is part of the BBL’s Cup Final Day, England Select v Ireland Select will tip off at 12pm and coach James wants a positive showing.

“It should be a lot of fun, these games always are,” he said. “They get intense but are always played in great spirit. It will be a challenge as the preparation time is very limited but as long as it throws up some all-star style highlights then it’s a good spectacle for the basketball fan!”

The current 15 man roster is made up entirely of BBL players and offers a great opportunity for home grown talent to highlight their skills at an international level with GB summer selections in mind.
