Recap all the action from the Miami Heat’s incredible season – and even more unbelievable post-season – with a brand new DVD.
It was supposed to be a forgone conclusion. The Miami Heat, reigning NBA champions, had blown everybody away in the regular season, racking up a ridiculous 27-game winning streak – the longest in over 30 years.
LeBron James had only further cemented his position as the best player on the planet – winning his fourth MVP award in five seasons, one vote off becoming the first unanimous winner in history. In the end, however, NBA history was decided with a little bit of magic from Ray Allen.
Now comes a DVD detailing the whole incredible journey.
“Miami Heat: NBA Champions 2013†gives an amazing insight into how the team came together as the season progressed. In it we hear Dwyane Wade talk about how the winning-streak got out of hand, and we see how the Heat had to recognise that all their regular season records counted for nothing once the Playoffs began.
Of course, the post-season culminated in one of the best Finals series in years – and this disc is worth buying for Game 6 alone. No Hollywood script could match the drama and heartbreak that duel gave us – and only in the NBA can a headband become so talked about!
Three months on, I still can’t believe I’m not watching the San Antonio Spurs championship DVD. This was easily the closest a team has ever come to the title without actually winning it – and you will find yourself watching it over and over again, wondering just how did the Spurs manage to lose it?
The main narrative of the story though is LeBron James – and so it should be. He is the star and the best player in the world, but for him it’s a case of two down four to go.
