Soluade originally came up through the Bucks Hornets programme, and after an impressive performance with the promotion winning England U16s last summer, being named to the All Tournament Team as he finished with averages of 11.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 3.8 steals and 1 block per game, he signed in Spain with Unicaja Malaga.

Returning to England this summer, I got the chance to see him at Future Stars where it was clear to see what a year in Spain had done for his game. Unicaja moved Mo straight to the point guard spot, a position he hadn’t played a whole lot (particularly for England) before heading to Europe, and his game and skills have developed drastically.

Unfortunately, Mo never made it out to the Euros this summer with the promotion-winning England U18s due to injury, but is expected to be suiting up against next summer with what is expected to be one of our strongest teams in recent memory.

Soluade made his LEB Gold debut last season, and this year is splitting time between the U18s side and the Unicaja second team (Clinicas Rincon) who now compete in LEB Silver after being demoted.
