Future Stars Returns, 3×3 Tourney Added

Future StarsThe fifth Annual Future stars International basketball Tournament will return to Brunel University at the end of this month, featuring the U18 National teams from the Ukraine, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, and England, in addition to London United Harefield Academy (download rosters here).

Having run just as an international under-18 tournament and coaching conference since 2008, this year will be the first time it sees a FIBA endorsed 3-on-3 competition run alongside the event.

Jack Majewski, founder of Future Stars commented:

“I’m very delighted that we have managed to secure a very strong line- up of teams for the international tournament with very strong representation of teams from division A.

…I’m particularly excited about the inclusion of the FIBA 3×3 tournament because this fulfils our main principle of creating an event
where large numbers of people can actively participate in high profile basketball.

The coaching conference will focus on the development of young elite basketball players. Delegates will have an opportunity to learn about the most recent technical and tactical trends in basketball during interactive lectures delivered by leading specialists from Europe and the USA.

The 3×3 FIBA endorsed competition will be open to over 150 teams. It is a chance for everyone to get involved and compete against the top players from, the UK, France and Benelux region to qualify for the FIBA World Tour Challenger in Switzerland for a chance to win €4000.

The competition categories are for Under 14 Male, Under 14 female, Under 16 Male, Under 16 Female, Under 18 Male, Under 18 Female, Open Male and Open Female with a cost of £20 per team.
