EYE-CARUMBA! PARKER MAY MISS GAMES
Tony Parker may end up missing the Olympics after sustaining an eye injury during a fight between Drake and Chris Brown.
In a Q&A session on his blog, the French guard says he suffered a lacerated left eye when a piece of glass penetrated “99 percent” of the tissue.
“I’m seeing a specialist in New York, with the hope of obtaining the agreement of competing in the Olympics,” it says. “The Spurs are very worried. The decision is no longer mine – it’s in the hands of the physician and San Antonio”.
The damage was done in the early hours of June 15 at the W.i.P. club in New York. Parker was reportedly there when a brawl involving the two music stars broke out.
The San Antonio Spur has filed a $20m lawsuit against the club and its owners for allowing a situation to unfold in which he nearly lost an eye.
According to TMZ, the lawsuit alleges that club management, knowing there was “bad blood between Drake and Brown,” continued selling alcohol to the participants in the brawl, despite the fact that some were “visibly intoxicated.”
As for whether Chris Brown or Drake will be added as defendants, Parker’s lawyer, David Jaroslawicz, tells TMZ … he’s waiting for the results of the police investigation. He also wants to review the surveillance tape before making his decision.
