Ben Gordon showed a glimpse of what he could bring to Great Britain at the Olympics after dropping a season high 45 points against Denver last night, whilst tying the NBA record for three pointers without a miss as he went 9/9 from beyond the arc.
Gordon will be expected to relieve some of the offensive load from Luol Deng this summer, along with shouldering some of the ball handling duties – he added 8 dimes last night, along with 2 steals.
The 6’3″ guard went 13/22 overall last night, as well as 10/11 at the line, in 41 minutes. It wasn’t enough to get the victory however, as a Javale McGee putback dunk with 5 seconds remaining gave the Nuggets a 116-115 victory.
Gordon is averaging 12.5 points per game this season for Detroit.
