The BUCS basketball regular season went into it’s second week yesterday and with only one result being closer than 17 points it was a day of one side victories.
In the North, both Durham and Leeds Met Carnegie destroyed the opposition with 30 and 26 point routs respectively, with Worcester only being slightly worse with a 17 point victory over Glasgow.
In the South, newly promoted LSE taking on London Met was the closest game of the day, with LSE getting their first win in the premier division. LSBU had little trouble dispatching of what is a considerably weaker Oxford side than seen in previous years, whilst Brunel kept their perfect record in tact beating Middlesex comfortably, led by 24 points from former England under-18 Louis Sayers. This is Sayers’ first season competing in BUCS, after sitting out last year due to Division 1 commitments with Reading.
