Leeds Carnegie and Reading Rockets will meet in the EBL Division 1 National Championship final tomorrow after both winning their respective semi-finals today in the National Final Fours at the Amaechi Centre, Manchester.
In the first matchup of the day, Bristol Academy Flyers took on Leeds Carnegie in a closely fought contest that went down to the wire, with Leeds Carnegie coming out on top after one period of overtime, 85-81. Zoltan Supola led Leeds with a 24 point-10 rebound double double, including the game tying basket with 19 seconds left to send the game to overtime. Next up BA London Leopards were dispatched by the Reading Rockets after a second half collapse, losing 80-69. Reading Rockets were led by Robert Parker’s 22 points on 9/14 shooting, whilst Niko Scott added 18 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists.
