KOBE’S STILL GOT IT

Despite promising to take it easy and rest his kness, Kobe Bryant went off at the All-Star Game – leading the Western Conference to a 148-143 victory with 37 points and 14 rebounds, and capturing the MVP award.

Just hours earlier, the Lakers guard had become the first athlete to have his name immortalised on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame…and on Sunday night became just the second player to win four All-Star MVP awards.

The East did put up an impressive fight – and produced a fantastic comeback to nearly snatch a victory. LeBron James, of the Miami Heat, was particularly impressive recording only the second triple double (29 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists) in the game’s history.

Although he tried to rally the East in the fourth quarter after they trailed by as much as 17, it wasn’t enough to hold off the West in a thrilling finish.
