LSBU Move to 9-0, Despite Brunel Challenge

LSBU were given a much greater than expected challenge yesterday by the shorthanded Brunel, yet managed to slip away for a 76-63 victory in the only BUCS Premier South action of the day.

LSBU, who were 8-0 going into the game, played without front court member Armand Anebo, whilst Brunel lost leading scorer Matt Carpenter on Tuesday night at practice to a broken arm. In what was expected to be an easy win for LSBU, they were shocked as Brunel led by two points going into the fourth. It was their they accelerated away for the final scoreline, a 13 point victory.

Karolis Petkus and Damoy Robertson led Southbank with 17 points a piece, whilst Dave Ajumobi added 14. LSBU now stand at 9-0 and continue their quest for an undefeated season. Tomas Politi had 17 for Brunel.
