GB big man Eric Boateng grabbed 10 boards in his first career start with the Denver Nuggets in the NBA pre-season against the LA Clippers on Sunday night. He added 2 points, 2 assists and 1 block in just 23 minutes of playing time.
The 6’10”, 257lb Centre spoke to the Denver Post about his experiences so far with the Nuggets:
“I’m just absorbing what Coach Karl is trying to teach us and going out, playing hard and trying to execute the way he wants us to play. I’m not putting any pressure on myself. I’m just playing.”
Boateng is averaging 1.6 points and 4.2 rebounds through 5 pre-season games so far. Denver’s roster currently sits at 15, meaning they are not required to make any more cuts-considerably boosting Boateng’s chances of making the final roster.
