The England Senior Men took care of business in their second game of the weekend against Scotland, winning 72-59 yesterday, whilst most of the country were inside watching England get destroyed by Germany 4-1 (what a joke!).
Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the game (was down in Brighton for the 4 on 4, which was an awesome day!), but from what I’ve seen/heard, it was a better (yet still not convincing) performance than Saturday.
Steven Leven led all scorers for Scotland with 19, with Donnelly adding 12 for the away team. For England, Morakinyo Williams had 12 points and 8 rebounds, Andrew Thompson had 11 and 9, whilst Tayo Ogedengbe had 10.
You can see the FIBA Live Stats from the game here. Looking at the minutes, I’m assuming coach Paul James was trying to evenly spread minutes, playing people that aren’t playing against Lithuania more for their development-because it’s evident his best players sat for longer…
