National Schools Final Fours Leading Scorers

Benjamin Nkossi MVP

Benjamin Nkossi averaged an impressive 33 ppg

Going through box scores is one of the longest things ever and hence why this has taken me so long to publish. You can read a full recap of the scores/final standings/my thoughts here. Remember, the below averages are taken from two games only, and one of those games was 7 minute quarters (don’t get me started).

Random Notes/Thoughts

  • Apologies to all the females who  I know wanted to see the girls leading scorers up to, but right now I have no motivation or desire to go through the women’s after this lot took me well over 5 hours. If anyone wants to do it, I’ll happily publish it on the site.
  • Biggest standout is obviously Jordan Spencer not only did he drop 33 and 49 in both Shenley’s games, but then you remember one of those was 7 minute quarters! He had 8 3’s in the first game and 10 in the final. Wowza.
  • Other stand out 3 point shooting games; Kyle Irving had 6 3’s in Canterbury’s 3rd place playoff game against Burleigh (U19’s). D. Cantwell had 6′ 3s vs Northampton (U16’s), and C. Dolan had 7 in the final against Shenley Brook (U16’s).
  • Northampton’s Sam Round scored 20 CONSECUTIVE points against Barking Abbey in the final. He had a 17 point 3rd quarter, and 9 in the fourth after only scoring 6 in the first half (all in the second quarter).
  • Helsby’s Cameron Mackay was the only player to appear in two age groups leading scorers. He is an U14 clearly good enough to play with (and dominate) U15’s too. Killed it. Great to watch as well.
