Matthew Bryan-Amaning and his Huskies’ season came to an end last night with a 69-56 loss to number 2 seed West Virginia Mountaineers. The Pac-10 tournament champions were trying to become only the fourth school seeded 11th or lower to reach the round of eight.

Bryan-Amaning struggled to get into a rhythm offensively going 2/7 from the floor (0/1 at the line) for 4 points, but was a force on the defensive end finishing with 5 blocked shots. He added 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals to complete his line in the tough loss. He has had an extremely strong end to the season and many are excited to see what he is going to do in his Senior year next year.

The Huskies end the 2009-2010 season with a 26-10 record.

Washington has lost four straight games in the third round of the NCAA tournament, including defeats in 1998, 2005 and 2006.
