Newcastle Eagles pummeled Plymouth Raiders last night 96-80 to move to the top of the table. They now have a 2 pt lead over Sheffield but have played two games more.
Eagles were lead by American Joe Chapman’s 29 pts and Hackney boy Darius Defoe’s double double of 16 and 12. Leading scorers for Plymouth were Terry Horton and Florentino Valencia’s who both finished with 18pts.
