Basketball Development Conference Returns for Sixth Year

Hoopsfix All-Star Classic Basketball Development Conference 2026

The Hoopsfix All-Star Classic Basketball Development Conference is back for its sixth edition, bringing together some of the most compelling voices in the game for a day of learning, sharing, and connecting.

Taking place on Saturday 23rd May at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, this year’s conference features six expert practitioners delivering sessions covering everything from offensive and defensive systems to building national federations from the ground up.
The lineup spans the full spectrum of basketball:

Billy Mims (Former NCAA & BBL Head Coach) on building an uptempo transition offence

Jesse Sazant (Kent Crusaders), founder of one of the most established junior development programmes in the country, on using constraints to develop defensive decision making

Steve Vear (South Sudan Basketball Federation), the man behind one of the great stories in world basketball, sharing how South Sudan went from barely existing on the international map to winning AfroBasket and qualifying for the Olympics

Samit Nuruzade (Reading Rockets), fresh off winning the league title and reaching the BCB Trophy final, on getting the most out of motion offence

Kyla Nelson (London Lions), who took the Lions from a winless season to the playoffs in her first year as a professional head coach, sharing the lessons learned along the way

Kerem Gonlum (Kerem Gonlum Academy), Turkish basketball legend, 178-time international, 2010 FIBA World Championship silver medallist and one of the all-time Euroleague rebounding leaders, on developing the modern day big man
