Newcastle University claim second ever BUCS Men’s title
Newcastle University prevailed over Loughborough 103-99 in a double-overtime thriller to claim the 2026 BUCS Basketball Men’s Championship!
Jaron Thames was named MVP with 28 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and three steals, while Sam Trunley had 25 points and Bradley Dean had 20.
Loughborough were led by Victor Ndoukou’s 29 points and Mike Joiner’s 23, as they saw their three-year BUCS championship win streak come to a close.
