Loughborough University avenge Essex with 2026 BUCS Women Championship
Loughborough University avenged last year’s Finals loss with a 69-57 win over University of Essex to claim the 2025 BUCS Women’s Basketbal; Championship on Wednesday in Loughborough.
Brooke Bigott was named MVP, finishing with 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists and six steals, while Katie Januszewska led all scores with 16 points.
Essex were led by 15 points from Paige Meyer.
It marks Loughborough’s first BUCS Women’s title since 2023, with it being Essex’s fifth consecutive championship final appearance.
