Newcastle Eagles’ dream run in the ENBL finished as runners up after a tough 95-82 defeat the hands of CSO Voluntari in the Championship final on Wednesday evening in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Mike Caffey scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half to lead CSO Voluntari past the Eagles, picking up MVP honours in the process.
Mike Okauru led Newcastle Eagles with 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals, while also making the All-Star team, alongside teammates De’Sean Allen-Eikens.

“I’m proud of my team. I think it’s been an exceptional campaign, I think they gave everything they had tonight. Voluntari made some bigger plays, Caffey in particular made some really difficult shots, congratulations to them.
