Ankd have booked their spot in the Semi-Finals, while OT Boyz stayed perfect at Week 2 of the Hoopsfix Pro-Am on Sunday at Brixton Rec.
Bringing in London Lions duo Bradley Kaboza and Ciaran Sandy, Ankd (2-0) came from behind to get a 62-58 win over The Minimum Brand (1-1), while the other Pool B game saw Solent (1-1) welcome Isa Brandon to get a 61-46 win over London United, setting up a huge game next week between TMB and Solent with the winner advancing to the semi-finals.
Over in Pool A it gets more complicated, as OT Boyz (2-0) got an impressive 57-53 win over FunctionAll (1-1), while Hoopspace (1-1) won 68-43 over Surrey (0-2), leading to a potential 3-way tie in the group.
In the case of a 3-way tie, it goes on the head to head between the teams involved in the tie, before going to points difference of the three teams in the tie, ignoring the results against the fourth placed team in the group.

For the opening game of the day, Kestrels star Isa Brandon made quite the debut, with 16 points, six rebounds and three steals to lead Solent past London United comfortably. Tyler Fairbairn had his second straight double-digit outing with 10 points, while Tony Mendez went 4/4 from the field for nine points.
Lebron Roach was the only player in double digits for the young London United side, with 12 points.
Next up was the game of the day, as Ankd overturned a double digit deficit behind the backcourt duo of Bradley Kaboza and Sam Akano to stun The Minimum Brand. Trailing by six with two minutes left, Ankd finished on a 12-2 run, with nine of those points coming from Kaboza and Akano, including a go-ahead three from Akano with 40 seconds remaning.
Kaboza finished with 15 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals, while Akano had 14 points. Worthing Thunder’s Hafeez Abdul led TMB with 14 points, while Hemel’s Matthew Disu added 13.
OT Boyz took down early tournament favourites FunctionAll behind 20 points and two blocks from American James Claar, as he finished the game on a personal 6-0 run in the final 90 seconds to get the victory. Clarr’s offensive rebound and putback sealed the game, as FunctionAll wasted a 19-point outing from 2022 MVP Peter Turay.
