Newcastle Eagles suffered a heartbreak exit at the hand of Bakken Bears, going down 96-92 in overtime in ENBL Play-offs at Sparekassen Danmark Basketball Center on Wednesday evening.

The Eagles entered the game with a five point deficit following the first leg defeat at home 87-92 on March 1st, and despite overturning a five point deficit in regulation and leading by as many as eight in OT, they came up short as Jordan Johnson (18 points and eight assists) and Darius Defoe both fouled out successively.

The defeat ended their first European campaign in the ENBL at the doors of the Final Four.
