Gabby Nikitinaite wins Swiss Cup title with Fribourg

Gabby Nikitinaite has tasted more success in Switzerland after helping Elfic Fribourg secure the SBL Cup title.

The rookie guard contributed 14 points, six rebounds and three steals in her side’s 89-69 victory over Nyon in Sunday’s final as the club backed up their SuperCup triumph from the start of the season.

Nikitinaite has been in excellent form for the unbeaten Swiss side in league play; averaging a team-high 16.7 points per game along with 6.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists across 10 games.

The 24-year-old also fired in a best of 33 points in EuroCup Women action with averages of 15.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game as Fribourg made it to the playoffs.

Fribourg have now won 10 consecutive titles in Switzerland and lead the way in the league with a perfect 10-0 record.
