London Lions fell short of Basketball Champions League qualification after an 89-62 loss at the hands of Treviso on Monday night in Italy.
It means they will get another attempt at the FIBA Europe Cup – which they were forced to forfeit last season due to COVID-19 protocols – but will no doubt be disappointed after a 9-0 Treviso run to finish the first quarter set the tone for the rest of the game, where Lions trailed by as many as 31.

Sharp-shooter Lorenzo Cugini a bright spot for the Lions, registering a team-high 19 points in just 20 minutes without a miss, including 5-of-5 from deep, whilst Isaiah Reese added 12 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists.
Chris Tawiah managed 10 rebounds in under 15 minutes, but on the whole, Brits struggled to see the floor with a combined 35 minutes between Tawiah, Jordan Williams, Josh Ward-Hibbert, Jordan Spencer and Will Neighbour.
