Byron Mullens showcased his skillset during London Lions’ 84-81 victory over Oostende in a pre-season friendly last Sunday as they stepped up preparations for a European campaign.
The former NBA centre put up 15 points – including a trio of triples – as well as an assist and a block in 12 minutes of action before getting ejected from the game.
Vince Macaulay’s side held on down the stretch for a dramatic three-point triumph having lost by 14 points 24 hours earlier – a short time after arriving from London.

Kevin Ware, DeAndre Liggins, Dirk Williams, and Kervin Bristol were the starters alongside Mullens in Sunday’s victory with Shane Walker and Jules Dang Akodo not amongst the 12-man roster.
Minutes were spread throughout the roster, as was the scoring with Justin Robinson netting 13 points and five assists with Williams and Liggins also adding 13 points, while Ed Lucas had 11 points.
On Saturday, Oostende – who have talented teenager Keye van der Vuurst de Vries amongst their roster – secured a 91-77 success with both games played behind closed doors.
The Lions are back overseas this weekend as they take on Bakken Bears in another friendly as they continue their preparations with their Basketball Champions League qualifiers trip to Bulgaria latet this month, with Neptunas Klaipeda lying in wait.
