GB led by as many as 18 but managed to hold on down the stretch, despite some woeful free throw shooting, as they finished 16 of 36 from the line.
“It’s great to get our first win and we had some really good stretches in the game, but we know there are improvements to be made and I’m confident this group will continue to get better,” Head Coach James Vear commented.
They dominated the second half of the second period to gain a cushion which would prove to be enough the rest of the way.
