Charnwood College – representing England – won bronze at the ISF World Schools 3×3 Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.
The four-day event culminated in victory for Russia, but England finished on a high led by the Charnwood quartet of Hosana Kitenge, Liam Johnson, Blaize Sagna and Greg Durand, coached by Will Maynard.
“To finish 3rd out of 27 teams is a phenomenal achievement for everyone involved,” Maynad said. “The majority of the boys have never had an opportunity like this, and I couldn’t be prouder of how they have responded in a hostile environment.
“We have all have made enjoyable memories and we will what we have learnt and experienced back to England. I’m massively looking forward to more competitions and experiences like this one.”
