Basketball England has announced the dates and venues for the national governing body’s Basketball Development Model (BDM) Regional Roadshows beginning this week.
The sequential series of nationwide stop-offs starts in London on Wednesday, February 8th 2017 before subsequent trips to the East Midlands and Yorkshire (on Monday, February 13th); the West Midlands and the South East (on Wednesday, February 15th); the East and the South West (on Thursday, February 16th); the South and the North East (on Monday, February 20th) and finally the North West (on Wednesday, February 22nd).
The aim of the regional roadshows is to canvas opinion of basketball’s stakeholders in England about the initial takeaways from the BDM, which consists of 11 expert working groups investigating ways of improving the following areas: Coaching, Competition, Facilities, Lifestyle, Officiating, Psychology, Research, Sports Medicine, Sports Science, Stakeholders & Partnerships, Strength & Conditioning and Technical and Tactical.
All attendees shall be informed of the very latest developments on the BDM and be able to share their own experiences and thought processes.
Participants will also hear about the findings from Basketball England’s recent Leagues & Competitions Audit & Services Survey and duly informed of just how exactly – based upon said feedback – the national governing body intends to implement the requisite improvements going forward.
