Liverpool Basketball Club’s David Ulph came through in the clutch this weekend with a game winning poster dunk to book his squad’s place in the NBL Division 2 Playoff Final.
With the score tied at 74 in OT, Liverpool couldn’t convert but managed to regain possession with a sneaky steal before finding Ulph ahead of the pack who threw it down on the trailing defender going for a chasedown block!
London Greenhouse Pioneers had one more chance, with a play to tie with 1 second remaining – and they did manage to draw a foul but were unable to knock down both free throws as Liverpool booked their place in the Men’s NBL Division 2 Playoff Final with a 76-75 OT win.
Ulph finished with 16 points, while Chris Bigley led Liverpool with 19, as they will prepare to meet Solent Kestrels in the final on Saturday 24th April at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester.
