Brits Abroad Round-up – Week 15

Here is our latest Brits Abroad round-up as we check in on the top Brits flying the flag overseas:

Luol Deng netted his best points tally of 2016 after scoring 16 in a 106-87 loss at Washington Wizards with Miami Heat (23-21) now having suffered defeats in six of their last seven games. Joel Freeland is on the sidelines in Russia – missing two games for CSKA Moscow this week with a leg injury.

Matthew Bryan-Amaning helped Soles (27-2) return to winning ways in Mexico after his double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds helped his side to a 64-77 win on the road. In Iran, Ryan Richards played 45 minutes of an 87-85 overtime loss for Gorgan (10-10), finishing with 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Myles Hesson scored 14 points for Dijon (10-7) in Pro-A action, but they suffered 71-54 loss at Strasbourg. In Pro-B, Laurence Ekperigin finished with 14 points and nine rebounds in an 85-67 loss for Poitiers (7-7) before contributing nine points, eight rebounds and six assists in an 87-83 victory. Gareth Murray netted 11 points in 14 minutes of an 88-59 win for Angers (9-8) in NM1, while Eric Boateng (pictured)had seven points and seven boards as Blois (14-3) stayed clear at the top with a 77-65 success.

In Greece, Ashley Hamilton scored all of his nine points from downtown in a comfortable 99-63 win for Lavrio (5-9), while Justin Robinson dished out four assists to go with 11 points in an 85-74 victory for Trikala (6-8). Devon van Oostrum finished with four points, nine boards and four assists, although Arkadikos (3-11) fell to a 64-78 loss at home. In A2, Robert Gilchrist recorded a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds to help Peristeri Athens (2-8) to a 75-54 win.

Andorra (8-8) claimed a 92-73 win over Sevilla in Liga ACB action with Dan Clark coming off the bench to net from downtown late on. Also, Andrew Lawrence had five points and four rebounds in 19 minutes of a 94-55 loss for Gipuzkoa (3-13). In LEB Silver, Mo Soluade scored a game-high 20 points including 3-of-6 from 3-point range to push Clinicas Rincon (6-9) close as they went down 78-72, while Joe Hart netted eight points as Araberri (9-6) recorded a 62-86 win on the road.

Gabe Olaseni contributed 12 points and seven rebounds in another solid display for Giessen 46ers (8-10) as they claimed a 90-83 win. In the Netherlands, Nigel van Oostrum produced an all-round display with 11 points, four rebounds, seven assists along with five steals, while Ali Fraser had 10 points and seven rebounds with Leeuwarden (6-8) falling to a 90-75 loss.
