GB Senior Men to Host New Zealand in Summer Exhibition

Great Britain’s Senior Men will take on New Zealand in an exhibition game this summer at the Copper Box Arena.

The game will take place on Saturday 25th July with the tip at 6pm, with behind closed doors scrimmages against the Tall Blacks also expected.

“It’s great to see world class teams like New Zealand coming to London to play against Team GB,” said GB forward Kieron Achara. “It shows how far basketball has progressed in this country.

“It’s always great to play at home and we will need all the support we can get, so let’s get the Copper Box Arena packed out and full of noise.”

New Zealand are currently ranked 21st in the world, just one place above GB and will provide a tough challenge for Joe Prunty’s side.

A GB Future’s side will also be put together and head to the Netherlands to participate in a tri-series involving the hosts as well as Portugal, on 14th-15th August.
