Check out the latest recap of the BUCS Premier Divisions with limited schedules in the past two weeks ahead of a lengthy break heading into the new year.
Last week, Durham picked up a second consecutive home win as they eased past Worcester with a convincing 74-42 victory. David Buchberger led five players in double figures with 19 points, while Bryan Hockaday added a double-double of 10 points and 17 rebounds. The visitors were led by Disraeli Lufadeju, who top scored with nine points.
Worcester returned to winning ways this week, however, with a 87-73 victory at home to Leeds Beckett, despite a 31-point haul from Darrell Bethune. The gap between the two sides was as close as five points with 5 minutes to go, before the home side pulled away to move into joint second with Loughborough.
Brunel moved to joint top of the South with a perfect 6-0 record after beating Bath 76-67 on the road last week. Benji Lawmann top scored with a game-high 33 points, and received valuable support from L Castro and Mike Darlow, who added 15 and 13 points respectively.
Bath bounced back from the loss to earn a win on their travels this week as they overcame the challenge of UCL with a 68-62 away win. The visitors return to .500 with their third win in six, and will look to take the momentum into 2015 when BUCS action continues.
