The FIBA World Cup 2014 draws to a close this week and UK fans will be able to watch live coverage of the semi-finals and final on BT Sport.
Up to now, Livebasketball.tv had been the only (legal) option with no TV broadcaster in place for the first round or knockout phase although FIBA had intended for a deal to be ready for the closing stages of the tournament.
Tonight’s semi-final between USA and Lithuania will be shown live on BT Sport 1 from 8pm while Friday’s encounter between France and Serbia has been scheduled to be shown from 9:30pm on ESPN.
Sunday’s showpiece final will be shown live on BT Sport 2 in it’s entirety, also from 8pm with re-runs available for the following few days for those that miss it.
The schedule is as follows:
USA v Lithuania – Thursday 11th, 8pm, LIVE (BT Sport 1); Friday 12th, 10:15am, repeat (BT Sport 1)
France v Serbia – Friday 12th, 9:30pm, LIVE (ESPN)
FINAL – Sunday 14th, 8pm, LIVE (BT Sport 2); Monday 15th, 1:30pm, repeat (BT Sport 2); Tuesday 16th, 8:30pm, repeat (BT Sport 2)
BT Sport continue their support of basketball having shown GB’s EuroBasket 2015 qualifiers last month whilst also holding exclusive rights to broadcast the NBA.
