GB U20s Fall to Montenegro

Great Britain Under-20s fell to their third consecutive loss at the Tournoi Mondial Tourcoing, but it was their closest defeat yet, going down 73-67 at the hands of Montenegro.

“Team competed, displayed energy & attention 2 detail,” tweeted Head Coach Doug Leichner after the game.”Not the result we wanted but progress made in areas of sharing the ball & rebounding.”

“Great improvement today v Montenegro,” added assistant James Vear.”Lost by 6 but were right there with 1min left, getting better day by day.”

Kavell Bigby-Williams led GB with 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Grant Mackay and Jordan Spencer added 11 points each.

With the loss GB fell to the bottom of Pool B, and will place top seed from Pool A, Germany, on Saturday at 1:30pm local time.
