Great Britain big man Eric Boateng has been signed to the Los Angeles Lakers training camp roster, it was announced on Wednesday.
Per team policy, terms of the agreements were not released, as Boateng will be looking to fight his way into a contract for the coming season.
It won’t be Boateng’s first stint at an NBA training camp, having played with Denver Nuggets in 2010 where he had some solid performances in pre-season before being waived.
The Arizona State University graduate, has split time over the last three seasons playing for the Idaho Stampede and the Austin Toros of the NBA’s Development League in addition to playing internationally for the Greek Basket League team Peristeri and the New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig in Germany last season where he averaged 7.7 points and 5.8 rebounds on 62.4% shooting in 20 minutes per game.
The 6-10 former Brixton Topcat averaged 1.5 points and 2 rebounds per game for GB this summer at Eurobasket in Slovenia.
