Connor Washington Career High vs Mersey Tigers

Check out Great Britain Under-20 Connor Washington (1992 born) dropping a career high 24 points in the BBL last month.

The 6’0″ Leicester Riders guard played just 23 minutes, sinking 7 threes and adding 5 assists as the Riders demolished Mersey Tigers 79-40.

“I just felt good when I went on court,” he said to Loughborough College, after being named to the BBL’s Team of the Week. “I’ve shot like that in practice but never in a game of that standard. Friends tweeted to tell me I’d been selected in the league side, I wouldn’t have known where to look otherwise.

“It’s an achievement, which I’d rate as my best so far on a par with gaining selection for Riders, but it won’t make me a better player – and that’s what I want to do.”
