In the near three years I’ve been covering basketball with Hoopsfix, I have seen very few as consistently dominant performances than Slovenia’s Luka Rupnik over the course of three days at Future Stars in 2011.
The 6’0″ point guard brought it every single game, splashing threes, making crazy dishes and controlling the tempo from start to finish. Later that summer he headed to the U18 European Championships, leading Division A in assists (5.7 per outing), along with 17.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game, before then becoming the youngest player (if my memory serves me correctly) at the 2011 Eurobasket.
He is currently under contract with Union Olimpija in his native Slovenia.
Check him and his game out below!
