DENG READY TO MAKE EUROPE MOVE

Great Britain forward Luol Deng will likely opt to play in Europe if the NBA lockout continues, his agents have confirmed.

The Chicago Bulls star, whose last club appearance across the Atlantic was in the EBL junior league with Brixton Topcats, has remained in the USA since Eurobasket ended in mid-September.

However with no sign of the NBA’s labour dispute coming to a swift end, Deng’s representatives – Interperformances – have revealed that the South Sudan-born Londoner is now actively interested in a temporary switch.

Deng told MVP that it is an option that intrigues him.

“I always wanted to play in Europe,” he said. “I always wanted to see what my game would be like. There’s a part of me, because of growing up in England, I’d like to be close to there.”

Meanwhile Deng’s Great Britain team-mate Eric Boateng, who spent last season in the NBA D-League, has joined Greek A1 side Peristeri.
