Plymouth Raiders have signed the reigning British Basketball League MVP Jeremy Bell, their latest arrival through a revolving door at The Pavilions.
The American guard has been without a club since leaving Cheshire Jets last summer where his single year saw him average 23 points per game.
The Raiders, who are also understood to have held exploratory talks with Great Britain international Rob Yanders, have released Ben Smith to make room for Bell who is likely to make his debut in Saturday’s BBL Cup tie against Durham Wildcats.
“It was a tough decision to make,” said Raiders coach Gavin Love.
“But it’s better to make it now rather than later in the season and bring in a great player like Jeremy who will really enhance the team.”
