GB U20s Final Roster Set, Last Cuts Made

The GB U20s faced the last cuts yesterday as four more players were released from the squad to leave the final roster of 12 that will be heading to the Division B European Championships in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Big men Harrison Gamble, Shore Adenekan and Jeff Dirkin, and guard Jack Thompson were the last players to face the axe, leaving a roster of 12 with a nice blend of talent on both the perimeter and inside.

Head coach, Tim Lewis commented:

“The games at the weekend provided us with not only opportunities to look at players, but it also enabled us to gauge where we are against our master plan. Solid performances from all the players involved produced two good wins.

“The final selection took place following the two games and four players have now been released from the program.

“The final roster gives good balance and depth across the board, with Alex Marcotuillio joining the squad in time for the games against Belgium and Denmark next week.”

The roster is as follows:

GB U20s Final Roster

John Bantock
Alasdair Fraser
Lee Goldsbrough
Will Hall
Alex Marcotullio
Ali Mackay
Levi Noel
Lee Reilly
Ryan Richards
Will Saunders

What do you think of the final squad? How do you think our chances are of promotion to Division A?
