Reinking & Sullivan Dominate As Tigers Advance

The Mersey Tigers made light work of Newcastle Eagles last night in the second leg of their BBL Cup semi-final thanks to the dominant performance of GB players Nate Reinking and Andrew Sullivan.

The Eagles had a 7 point lead going into their game after their first leg victory, but a dominant second half from Mersey resulted in a 114-85 blowout victory for the Tigers and a place in the Cup final on a 204-182 aggregate score.

Team GB stars Reinking and Sullivan were spectacular for Mersey, combining for 69 points. Nate Reinking went off for 39, shooting 12/22 from the field (5/9 threes), and 10/12 at the line, whilst adding 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal. Andrew Sullivan was equally spectacular, missing only one field goal (10/11) whilst going 10/13 at the line for 30 points, whilst grabbing 4 rebounds and dishing an assist.

The Tigers will now wait to see who their opponent will be, with last years finalists One Health Sharks Sheffield and Cheshire Jets both battling it out to secure back to back appearances.
