Gabe Olaseni London Lions vs Venezia

London Lions won their fifth straight game in the EuroCup, a 91-95 victory over Umana Reyer Venezia on the road on Tuesday evening.

It marks the first time that London has won five straight games in the EuroCup as they improved their road record to a perfect 5-0, with an 8-2 mark overall.

Despite losing star forward Sam Dekker to an ejection midway through the third and Donte Grantham early in the fourth to an ankle injury, the Lions showed their resilience as they held off Venezia down the stretch.

GB big man Gabe Olaseni starred again, finishing with 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Matt Morgan added 19, Conor Morgan 11 and Tarik Phillip 10 – despite going 3/10 at the free throw line.

Jordan Taylor, who had 13 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals, proved to be instrumental in the fourth, including a clutch three to give London some breathing room to make make 88-93 in the final minute.

Next up for the Lions, they play host to the 1-9 Veolia Towers Hamburg at Copper Box Arena.

Box score.
