Hemel Storm sealed their first-ever Division 1 Men’s regular season title following a comfortable 107-77 road win in Newcastle at the weekend.
Confirming what has felt like an inevitability the longer Storm’s undefeated streak continued, the Hertfordshire outfit now have the top seed for the impending playoffs along with their name in history as the 2022/23 regular-season champs, currently sitting at 24-0 in the competition.

Hakeem Sylla’s 25-point, 11-rebound double-double helped the visitors to a 61-46 half-time advantage, creating a lead that the Storm were never likely to let slip.
Taylor Johnson went 4/7 from beyond the arc to close with a game-high 26 points as Hemel shot 54% from the floor across a successful afternoon.
Hemel now have two games remaining to complete a perfect regular season, at home to Solent then hosting a showdown with second place Worthing.
