Byron Mullens has reportedly signed a new deal to play in the Chinese Basketball Association with Shanxi Zhongyu according to Sina.com.
The 25-year-old was selected as part of GB’s initial roster but never made it to camp after pulling out alongside NBA stars Luol Deng and Joel Freeland.
Mullens has yet to represent his adopted nation since declaring his intention to play with his new deal in China the reason given for another absent international summer.
The move brings an end to the 7’0″ centre’s spell in the NBA having played for the LA Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers last season.
