England Under-18s remain on track for ninth place at the Albert Schweitzer Tournament after defeating Slovenia 82-69 on Thursday afternoon.
Right from the outset it was clear the game would remain tight, Slovenia got a seven point lead in the middle of the first quarter but by the end of the period the deficit was just one.
England pulled out a 44-35 lead by halftime, and despite a mini-run from Slovenia, England were in a comfortable position by the end of the third, and two early threes to start the fourth sealed the deal.
Akwasi Yeboah (pictured) led England with 20 points on 9/12 shooting, and Pharroh Gordon had 15 points on an even more efficient 5/6 shooting. Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye added 14 points.
England will play their ninth place playoff on Friday.
