Newham Neptunes (NASSA) made it a clean sweep of trophies in Division 2 this season as they beat Manchester Magic 85-66 in the Playoff Final on Sunday at the Amaechi Centre, Manchester.
The Playoff title adds to the Neptunes’ VCARS.co.uk D2 Men’s League and Patrons Cup trophies they’ve already won this season, and is a fitting end to the season for the newly promoted Division 1 team.
Karolis Stepanavicius was named MVP, with 33 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks, as he was unstoppable all game. Savvy veteran point guard Steve Vear added 14 points, 6 assists and 3 steals, with Ladi Brown adding 11.
Magic, who have also been promoted to Division 1 next season, were led by Tom Ward’s 16 points and 8 rebounds, whilst Connor Porter had 14 and Josh Houghton 10.
