England Under-18s won their third straight game at the U18 European Championship Division B in Sarajevo on Saturday, beating Romania 60-55 to keep their perfect record in tact.
Mirel-Claudiu Dragoste’s lay-up with 53 seconds to play closed the gap to 57-55 for the Romanians.
Dragoste then had a chance to tie the game but missed another lay-up and England made three free-throws down the stretch to seal victory.
Luke Nelson led England with 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists, whilst Kingsley Okoroh joined him as the only other player in double figures with 11 points, to go along with 11 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.
England will now play Hungary on Sunday afternoon.
