Brunel remained the only undefeated team in the South yesterday after an epic overtime battle with LSBU that resulted in a 79-74 victory.
In front of packed out bleachers, the game was a great advertisement for BUCS basketball, seeing a number of lead changes throughout and 1992 born Louis Sayers go off for 33 points to lead Brunel.
With the victory Brunel now stand alone at the top of the Premier South, as league play is put on hold next week for the Final 16 matchups; with victors going onto the Final 8’s in Sheffield (read about the new format change here).
In the North, Durham continue to steamroll their way through the league, this week demolishing Glasgow 98-53. Worcester took care of business against Edinburgh, whilst Leeds Met got past Northumbria thanks to a dominant first quarter performance led by Clifford.
