Dan Clark started the game 8/8 from the floor

Behind some spectacular shooting from Dan Clark, GB took down Bosnia & Herzegovina 84-80 last night to keep their perfect record intact (3-0) and top FIBA Eurobasket Qualifying Group B.

The young 6’10 forward began the game 8/8, including 5/5 from three point land, to finish with 23 points and 5 rebounds on 8/10 shooting. He was backed up by 21 points from veteran guard Nate Reinking whilst Luol Deng and Pops Mensah-Bonsu each finished with 16 points, with the latter pulling down 12 rebounds.

GB Standard Life Head Coach Chris Finch was a pleased with the result.

“This was a big win for us, we didn’t play as well but we managed to grind out a result.  Bosnia did a good job on Luol and Pops and guys like Dan, Nate and Flinder really stepped up. It is good to be headed back to the UK for two games.”

Dan Clark was pleased with how the team played as he top scored for the first time:

“This was a tough game. Bosnia were coming off of a loss on the road and they played well in the first half. We played tough down the stretch.”
