With bragging rights on the line, and the game remaining tight throughout it was seasoned veteran Julius Joseph who was the difference, putting the team on his back and scoring (at least) 12 points in the fourth, many of them consecutively, to lead the Old School to an 89-82 victory. Pierre Henry-Fontaine ended up being named MVP with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Julius Joseph led all scorers with 22, whilst Stefan Gill led the New School with 17 backed up by 11 from Tayo Ogedengbe
The dunk contest saw Ishmael Fontaine, Stefan Gill, Leon Bernard and Jordan Gillhespy-Edison battle it out for the title of FamFest 2010 Dunk Champion. Despite strong competition from Fontaine (who threw down a disgusting windmill to open things up) it was wiley dunk veteran Leon Bernard who took the title.
The event was a credit to CIA Basketball who did a great job organising it, and Family First Soundsystem who were on the decks spinnin’ great tracks all night (and provided the beat for this mix). Big thanks to Luke Bowler for sorting me out with everything I needed!
Anyway, check out the video and drop a comment!
