The Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders closed the gap on the top four in the BBL Championship as they overcame the third-placed Marshall MK Lions with a 100-85 win.
The game was close throughout with a number of lead changes but a 14-3 run by the Riders to take a commanding 90-78 lead with 1.35 remaining sealed the game.
Tempers frayed with a couple of minutes remaining as Dawud Morris fouled Bradd Wierzbicki going to the basket, with Robert Youngblood and LaTaryl Williams getting involved in a confrontation. Players from both benches got involved, ending with Barry Lamble of Leicester and Guy Dupuy of MK Lions being ejected. The game continued in a similar vein with fouls on both sides as the Riders saw it out from the free-throw line.
Bradd Wierzbicki led the Riders with 26 points, whilst the Lions were led by EJ Harrison’s 28.

I was at this game and the refereeing and officiating was disgraceful!
The clock was over-running and under running the whole way through, the 24 second clock wasn’t getting re-set, and points were not getting put on…. I know for a fact Lions should have 5 points added so I dread to think how many were missed off….
Maximillion Simon didn’t get ejected…. He didn’t even get involved.
It’s not good that we have a professional league in this country that seemingly can’t even keep stats/time correctly…
Thanks for the info about Max, have edited the post and removed his name-I get the info from the BBL website so may be worth messaging them too if you have contacts there…was going to say it seems out of character for Max, he used to be a teammate at Brunel!
LOL he aint like that at all…. He’s constantly chilling. Haha
